BioMed Realty is proud to share that Executive Vice President Colleen O’Connor has successfully summited Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, as part of the Timmerman Traverse in support of the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation.
The Timmerman Traverse brings together leaders from across the life sciences community to raise critical funds and awareness for innovative cancer research. Through this extraordinary journey, participants help accelerate early-stage science that can lead to new breakthroughs for patients.
Colleen joined the climb alongside biotech executives and investors united by a shared goal to advance cancer research. Reflecting on the experience, she said: “Together we can do more than we ever could alone, both in the mountains and to advance critical cancer research.”
BioMed Realty was honored to sponsor Colleen’s participation, reinforcing the Company’s ongoing commitment to the life sciences ecosystem and to the researchers working to improve human health. The determination, collaboration, and sense of purpose behind the climb mirror the qualities that drive progress across the industry every day.
