JOB DESCRIPTION
Financial Analyst will be reporting to the Sr. Manager, Finance and will be responsible for Supporting the company's budgeting and re-forecasting efforts on all properties for BioMed Realty’s portfolio. This includes providing analytical support for the corporate finance team.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Two to five years finance experience, corporate finance experience a plus
- One to three years finance experience in real estate; REIT experience a plus
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and Argus, and proficient with Word and Powerpoint
- Experience in real estate financial analysis and modeling
- Ability to analyze financial statements, operating budgets, leases and related documents
- Understanding of real estate and financial concepts
- Must be organized and task oriented, able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with multiple deadlines, and adapt readily to changing priorities
- Detail oriented and the ability to convey information orally and in written correspondence, reports and presentations, technical information in a clear and concise manner
- BA/BS in finance, economics, accounting or related field required. MBA a plus.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
- Responsible for assisting in the preparation of operating budgets, and cash flow projections, including managing timelines, analysis and consolidation of portfolio information.
- Prepare analysis and written summarization of budget information for Executive Management including variance explanations
- Responsible for ensuring all timelines are met and communication of status and results to management
