Description: |
Under general direction, responsible
for oversight and facilities management of the West Coast
portfolio, including functional capability of properties,
maintenance and integrity of building systems, budget
projections, implementation and supervision of company’s
facilities management and maintenance staff and
transitioning properties from development/construction to
operating phase. Participates in the acquisition/due
diligence process. West Coast properties and acquisition
target markets are located in San Diego, San Francisco and
Seattle (secondary market includes Denver). |

Qualifications: |
-
BA/BS in engineering, facilities management or related
field required. Advanced degree desirable. Certification
in facilities management a plus.

Minimum of 10 years of progressive facilities management
experience. Experience
in a management position with supervisory
responsibilities in life science and/or laboratory
facilities properties including start-up and
commissioning of life science laboratory and
manufacturing uses preferred. Must possess a track
record of success in real estate operations management,
tenant and vendor relations, property and building
maintenance, and planning and budgeting in
multi-location portfolio. Experience in facilities
design and in property acquisition due diligence a plus.

Technical
education and hands-on-experience in the following
disciplines: HVAC design and engineering, electrical
design and engineering (high tension), refrigeration
design and operation, water treatment plant operations
and in biocide application.

Proven experience
with effective resource conservation programs in
commercial or institutional buildings required, with
LEED accreditation desirable.

Experience in
establishing and managing maintenance procedures:
predictive, corrective and routine work requests that
includes coordination with electricians, plumbers, HVAC
mechanics, equipment repair technicians or other outside
services.

Managing
compliance with building codes, fire/life safety
regulations and OSHA requirements.

Experience with
managing 24/7 operations with both union and non-union
engineering and maintenance staffs.

Experience with
managing vivariums or animal facilities and bio-pharma
manufacturing facilities.

Computer literate
including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel,
Outlook, P3/Sure Track, AutoCAD and work order systems.

Ability to read
and understand building plans and specifications.

Requires a working knowledge of real estate law pertaining

operational efficiencies.

Qualifications: |

Minimum (2) two
year experience assisting with real estate/property
management with additional clerical support
responsibilities. Some technical school and/or college
coursework is helpful in real estate a plus. AS/AA
degree or an equivalent combination of education,
training and additional experience is required.

general supervision, provide leadership and supportive
structure to the engineering/maintenance staff and BMR hired
contractors for Center for Life Sciences Boston. Manager
will oversee all building systems repairs and maintenance as

Qualifications: |
ˇ
Experienced with start up and
commissioning a first class laboratory facility. Start up
includes: commissioning building systems, working with
general contractor during construction of core and shell,
working with contractors during tenant fit up, etc.
ˇ
A minimum of ten years experience
in facility management and facility engineering with BA/BS
in facility management, engineering or equivalent experience
and technical education in the following disciplines: HVAC
design and engineering, electrical design and engineering
(high tension), refrigeration design and operation, should
have a certification as a water treatment plant operator and
certification in biocide application.
Facilities experience within the Life Science industry a
plus.

Proven experience with effective
